This tag is classified as functional under GDPR, as it enables, in a plug & play way:
- The Sensefuel Search Layer
- The Conversational experience
- The Product Recommendations

Data Collection & AI Usage
The tag also enables Sensefuel to:
- Collect user interactions (clickstream data)
- Build statistics and performance dashboards available in the Sensefuel platform
- Feed our AI models to continuously improve relevance based on user behavior
Each functional tag includes a UID parameter, which is linked to a specific Sensefuel data environment.
Tracking-Only Mode
Sensefuel also supports a “tracking-only” mode for the functional tag which can be relevant for hybrid implementation (tracking with JavaScript but front end experience with API).
In this configuration:
- ✅ The tag does not provide any Plug & Play front-end experience
- No search layer experience
- No conversational experience
- No product recommendations
- ✅ The tag is used exclusively for anonymous statistical data collection
Important behavior
- The tag remains functional under GDPR (no consent required)
- Data collected in this mode will:
- Populate dashboards
- Train Sensefuel algorithms
- Prepare future activation of search and recommendation features
