Dashboard Filters and Analysis Options
You can customize your analysis using the following filters:
- Device type: Mobile, Tablet, or Desktop
- Time period: Select a specific date range or pre-defined periods. Sensefuel provides up to 2 years of data.
- Comparison period: Enable or disable comparisons with a previous period
Recommended Time Range
For meaningful insights, we recommend analyzing the last 30 days, as this typically provides a statistically significant volume of searched keywords.
Key Insights Available
The Keywords Dashboard allows you to identify:
- Search volume trends over time
- Searches with results vs. searches with no results
- Top searched keywords
- Best‑converting and least‑converting search terms
- User search behavior (average number of characters, keywords per search, and searches per visit)
Identifying Areas for Improvement
The main optimization opportunities usually fall into two categories:
1. Searches with No Results
Focus on keywords that return 0 results but logically should not. These often highlight:
- Missing products
- Typing variations or synonyms not yet handled
2. Keywords to Optimize
These are frequent search terms with:
- Few or no Product Detail Page (PDP) visits
- Few or no cart validations
Such keywords indicate a mismatch between user intent and displayed results.
Acting on the Data
Based on the insights from the dashboard, you can take action in the Merchandising section, mainly by:
- Configuring the dictionary (adding term extensions or synonyms)
- Improving product data in your catalog feed
These adjustments help improve result relevance and conversion rates.

You can download the complete keyword statistics:
- Click the Download button at the top of the dashboard.
- The full report will be sent to you by email.
