In some cases, it may be difficult to provide additional attributes in your product feed to group products under the same attribute value for your configurations in the platform (spotlights, showcases, recommend, etc.).
The Select feature helps you solve this by allowing you to create static lists of products directly within Sensefuel, based on a list of product IDs.
You can build these selections by:
- importing a file (Excel, CSV, etc.),
- or copying and pasting a list of IDs.
How Select can be used
Any product selection created with Select can then be reused across multiple Sensefuel features, including:
- Boosters/Strategies
- Spotlights
- Showcases
- Recommend
This makes Select a powerful tool for implementing merchandising actions when feed attributes are not available or flexible enough.
ID requirements
The IDs you use must comply with the following rules:
- IDs must come from an attribute available in your catalog feed
- This attribute must be configured by your Customer Success Manager as a “search by reference” attribute
If this prerequisite is not met, the selection cannot be created or used.
Importing a file
You can import a file containing your list of product references, provided that it respects the following constraints:

File structure and limits
- The file must contain a single column
- No header should be present
- Maximum 65,536 references
- Maximum file size: 16 MB
Files that do not meet these requirements will be rejected.
Copy / paste a list of IDs
Alternatively, you can copy and paste your list of references, respecting these rules:
- References must be separated by a semicolon (
;) - No spaces between references
- Maximum 65,536 references
- Maximum size: 16 MB
Lists that do not respect these constraints will not be processed.
