Works as “visual filters” as the effect when you click on them is to narrow the search results (filtering).
They are designed to highlight a commercial event (sales, black Friday, etc.), calendar event (Xmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, etc.) or any type of event you could have on your website. Their display position and style are a little bit different from Branded Spotlights, but their configuration is very similar. The main difference lies in their capacity to be scheduled (start/end date, hour & minutes).

What is Spotlight auto application ?
When only one spotlight is returned on a user search and 100% of the products in the results belong to that spotlight, auto application happens.
The advanced settings enable you to set up keywords. Be very careful as the keyword will be associated with all the products you have selected with your rule to select products (meaning you will find the products when you type that keyword)! You must not set up the keywords when the keyword is actually in the product data.
A case where the keywords could be interesting: black Friday for instance. No product is named “black Friday” but if someone types this keyword you would like to show all the products selected in your black Friday event spotlight and show the spotlight too
Image recommendations
Background Image
We recommend using an image without text as the purpose of the image is to be a background, give an ambience.
By default this image will be used for the different displays of your Spotlight. The visible area adjusts according to the resolution.

Size : width: 1920px. , height: between 500px and 700px.
For a better rendering, you can add a square format image (via the advanced settings) which will be used on certain displays, instead of this panoramic image.
Logo image
The logo appears over the background image.
Prefer the PNG format for a better integration within the thumbnail.
