When you create multiple spotlights or shortcuts, you may need to prioritize one or several of them. This is often driven by your commercial strategy—for example, when:
- one campaign or event is more important than another,
- your own brand should be highlighted over others,
- or a specific spotlight deserves more visibility for a given period.
Pinning and setting as Preferred
By pinning a spotlight or shortcut, or marking it as Preferred, you directly impact:
- its ranking position in the search layer,
- its visibility, thanks to a stronger graphic emphasis.
Pinned and preferred elements are displayed more prominently, making them easier for users to notice and interact with.
⚠️ Note: Display positions can vary depending on your Sensefuel version.
Placement rules differ between Sensefuel Max and Sensefuel Ignition.
Impact on Zero Result and Search Home
Pinning spotlights or shortcuts also affects their visibility in:
- Zero Result (when a search returns no results),
- and, if you are using Sensefuel Max, the Search Home.
This allows you to keep control over merchandising and highlight key content even when users do not obtain standard search results.
